SHOW RUNS FROM

NOVEMBER 2 TO DECEMBER 2, 2023

Maureen T. O’Neill is one of our treasures in the Eastern NC area and The Edge Wilson is honored to show her work on our walls. ‘Transitions, still and silent’ is a collection of pastel drawings which are beautifully representative of her style of art-making, which involves her observations, interactions and experiences with liminal spaces. Through O'Neill's experiential, meditative, imaginative, mark-making process, she has captured shat she sees and created her captivatingly luminous drawings. Each piece leads one beyond the subject into what can be a surreal spiritual feeling, reminding us of those moments of light and contrast which we encounter in our daily lives, especially when we take time to observe our surroundings and marvel at the play between light and shadow, and how the effect shapes our emotions. We invite you to join us at The Edge to see this show, and to feel the beautiful light this local artist brings to our community and beyond.
